THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 21-year-old son of a businessman in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram died after the new car he was driving at high speed, rammed an automatic rickshaw and lost control last night.
Adarsh SP, a graduate, died early in the hospital this morning. Three women who were also in the car are in critical condition at the hospital. Two of them are at the ICU.
The brand new car, a Skoda, was completely destroyed by the accident that occurred around 10:45. Firefighters had to enter and cut the vehicle to release the passengers.
According to police sources, a preliminary investigation suggests that the car was traveling at a very high speed and that “the driver tried to prevent an automatic rickshaw from turning around, the driver lost control and hit a pole” .
The car had a temporary record.
